A beautiful and highly unusual exagium solidi

Byzantine Weights, Late 4th-early 5th century. Exagium Solidi (Bronze, 15x16 mm, 4.16 g), a uniface square coin weight for a solidus, uncertain mint in Italy, perhaps Ravenna. Diademed and draped facing busts of Honorius (?), on the left, and Theodosius II (?), on the right; above, cross; all within square dotted border. Rev. Plain. Bendall -. MAH -. Pera -. Very rare. This is a highly unusual piece in that it was made of a thin appliqué soldered onto a bronze flan.
